KNAPP AG – planning office opens in Klagenfurt

Leading provider of all-in-one intralogistics solutions KNAPP, is celebrating the opening of their new planning office at Lakeside Park, Klagenfurt. Within a short space of time, eight employees were hired for the planning of logistics systems. There are already plans in the pipeline to extend the office to make room for new planning engineers who will join the KNAPP team in Carinthia from this summer onwards.

Around 300 new employees become members of the KNAPP family every year – 150 at the headquarters alone. The expert knowledge of its 3,800 employees active across 35 sites around the world is key to KNAPP’s success. KNAPP is growing and is on the lookout for employees for all of its sites. As part of this, the company is exploring new avenues and is going to places where there is extraordinarily high potential. The new planning office at Lakeside Park in Klagenfurt is one example.

An 83 m² penthouse office will house eight employees embarking on their career at KNAPP. “The high potential of the nearby education facilities such as the university, higher technical schools and universities of applied sciences, in addition to the geographical location close to both Italy and Slovenia, not to mention the excellent local infrastructure and beautiful surroundings were the deciding factors behind our decision to open a new site next to Lake Wörthersee,” explained KNAPP’s HR Manager Ingo Spörk. “We’re delighted to receive so many high-quality applications and will soon be extending our new offices.” Jörg Bergmann, Director of Engineering & Manufacturing at KNAPP is thrilled by the response and added: “The team in Klagenfurt will be mentored by colleagues from the KNAPP headquarters in Hart bei Graz. This will not only establish a close relationship to the headquarters, but also cultural ties.”
