What are your main
responsibilities?

My average day at KNAPP in Dobl starts with a friendly greeting and good vibes. Along with planning and teaching training courses, I spend a lot of time in the testing hall to complement my theoretical knowledge about Open Shuttles with practical experience. Constantly sharing knowledge with my colleagues is a fantastic change of pace from working at my computer. For in-person courses, I use presentations, 3D models of the Open Shuttles, on-site shuttles, the frontend of our fleet management software and plenty of workshop methods to change things up. And for online courses, I present my slides and use our fleet management software to show my students everything they need to know about the shuttles, navigation and route planning.

What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?

For my job, you need solid technical know-how and a serious interest in robotics and software. We dive deep into the material, but we also need broad general knowledge on these topics so we can train customers and colleagues effectively. I worked in the field while I was still studying and created course materials and tutorials for children so they could learn about robotics and programming in a fun way. I studied software development and economics. I also have a diploma in communication and graphic design and a bachelor’s degree in information design.

My Job:

Hands-on. Fun. Development.

What do you like most about your job?

I have a lot of fun getting to apply my theoretical knowledge in practice, as well as getting to know the system through trial and error. Afterwards, I share what I’ve learned with others and save them the time I took to figure it out myself.

Why do you enjoy working for KNAPP?

Apart from the innovative technologies, I really appreciate the cohesion my colleagues and I have. Everyone’s work really is appreciated, and you can always ask for help. Plus, the Open Shuttles worked their way into my heart very quickly!
