What are your main
responsibilities?
My main tasks are strategically developing the department further, leading and developing my team and planning resources. What does this mean exactly? My team and I monitor new developments in our business environment and continually ask ourselves: Where are we standing as a company right now? Which services or service projects can we offer our partners and customers to optimally support them? Which extended solutions could complement our service portfolio – particularly with regard to retrofits?
What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?
Having a technical background is a plus to understanding the various technologies and how they work together as a whole inside a warehouse. However, I believe that soft skills are even more important: A genuine interest in your coworkers and the ability to advance the department as a whole. It takes passion, dedication, courage and determination to implement changes and further improve what is already good in a business.

What do you like most about your job?
My favorite topic is definitely employee development. It is important to me to recognize individual potential and to use and promote the strengths and talents in the team in a meaningful way so that we complement each other. It is no coincidence that KNAPP has become successful and active worldwide. When we set common goals and all pull together, we can achieve a great deal.
Why do you enjoy working for KNAPP?
We express and enjoy our open corporate culture, which is reflected in our very special working atmosphere – taken altogether, it’s what we call the KNAPP spirit. The result of this is great teamwork, the likes of which I have only rarely experienced elsewhere. For me personally, KNAPP is more than just my workplace, it feels more like a big family. Creativity, personal dedication and fresh ideas are always appreciated.
