I am the first person our customers turn to and accompany SAP EWM projects from start to finish. At KNAPP in Grambach, we are the experts for integrating the warehouse software SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) at our customers’ warehouses. As a project manager, you are the intermediary between customers, the boardroom and project team, which is why efficient coordination and good communication are so important. My main responsibilities include proactive project management including its monitoring, as well as resource planning and risk management. I consider a project successful when the customer is satisfied because the project has been completed on schedule, within budget and in top quality. 

An education or apprenticeship in IT or experience with SAP is advantageous. This allows you to shoulder responsibility faster. That said, anyone with a basic understanding of technology and the right motivation can acquire the foundational knowledge necessary to support the project team within a few months. Prior knowledge is certainly helpful, but not necessarily a prerequisite. Motivated and willing career changers can also be successful at this job. What you should definitely bring to the table are technical affinity, rhetorical skills and confidence.
