You can find out what Manar’s job involves, what makes it so enjoyable and why she is so glad to work at KNAPP right here!
What are your main
responsibilities?
My work day usually begins with me checking and answering my messages. Then, I prioritize my tasks and create my to-do list for the day. I work on different things, including developing new functions, analyzing and fixing errors and reviewing code. Another important task is interface management, where I’m responsible for integrating and coordinating our fleet management system with the Open Shuttles and with external devices. I regularly have meetings where we solve complex issues together, plan new functions and work together on projects. And a normal day ends with me checking my progress and planning my next day.
What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?
If you want to work as a software developer, you need an education that provides you with the basics of programming. My IT degree gave me an excellent foundation for my career path. Previous experience such as projects or internships are also very helpful for getting a jump start on the job. Knowing the relevant programming languages, tools and technologies is important, too. Last but not least, having a keen interest in robotics, system solutions and data analysis also helps.
My Job:
Varied. Exciting. Future-oriented.
What do you like most about your job?
I have a lot of fun solving challenges together as a team or in collaboration with other departments. I’m also always happy to see my developments in action in our customers’ systems.
