What are your main
responsibilities?
The correct registration and internal distribution of the goods are top priority in the goods-in area. Here, I receive the ordered goods delivered by various parcel services and forwarders. This typically means cables, motors, screws and supplies for our site. I check if the deliveries are correct, complete and in perfect condition. Next, I book the goods into our system. Then, the goods are organized as a handling unit before being distributed to the various warehouse areas, such as the picking area or specific cost centers. Sometimes my job even requires me to work like a detective, but to be honest, I really love it.
What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?
Our team includes many career changers. Before I pursued training in warehouse logistics, for example, I had completed an apprenticeship in retail. This job requires a basic commercial or technical knowledge, specifically in warehouse logistics and IT/SAP. A forklift certificate is a must. Being a very tidy and orderly person is definitely a plus. Another advantage is being a team player as we always work together.

What do you like most about your job?
To be honest, I appreciate a little challenge because when something doesn’t go according to plan, I do my best to “solve the case” and allocate the deliveries. I really appreciate the team spirit among my colleagues. We are a fun team. I enjoy the fact that my job is quite diverse: We unpack, check, count, rearrange and finally book the goods into the system. All these tasks keep me moving, but I also spend some time sitting for administrative tasks. This is what makes my job enjoyable.
Why do you enjoy working for KNAPP?
I enjoy working for an innovative and successful company. The stable environment here gives me a sense of security.
