KNAPP implements state-of-the-art warehouse for Office1 Superstore in Bulgaria

Office1 Superstore is investing in automation technology to expand its 3PL business in Bulgaria. KNAPP AG is the technology partner equipping the new distribution centre in Ravno Pole near Sofia. With the new DC, Office1 Superstore will be able to provide not only its own centralised logistics, but also fulfilment services for a range of different companies in the retail, sports equipment and fashion business.

For the second time, Office1 Superstore has opted for KNAPP as their technology partner. The first automation solution is already in operation in Ravno Pole, distributing office supplies. The deciding factors for the company’s decision for KNAPP were their close collaboration during and successful implementation of the first project: “The confidence we gained in each other during the project, and the flexibility the OSR Shuttle™ Evo solution provides, convinced us, making KNAPP the obvious choice once again,” emphasizes Georgi Raitchev, Logistics and Replenishment Director at Office1 Superstore.

Maximum flexibility thanks to the OSR Shuttle™ Evo

The OSR Shuttle™ Evo system allows the company to manage all logistics processes for a diverse range of customers. The solution is highly flexible: Every work station has access to all items stored in the OSR Shuttle™ Evo, regardless of the article to be distributed and independent of the throughput. This also makes it easier to respond to order fluctuations and to adapt work schedules. Rounding out the solution are ergonomically designed work stations in the goods-in and dispatch areas.

“Together with Office1 Superstore, we have developed a solution tailored to suit their requirements,” explains Lenka Neuhold, Director Mobile Subsidiary at KNAPP AG. “The system provides maximum flexibility with regard to product handling and throughput. Developed with future growth in mind, the solution can be extended to accommodate more storage locations, lifts and work stations.” Start of operation is planned for November 2022.
