Service Best International, the Dutch wholesaler of bicycle, motorbike, car and lorry accessories commissions KNAPP to automate their distribution warehouse in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. A new warehouse will be built to accommodate an OSR Shuttle solution with ergonomically designed work stations for picking and packing.
KNAPP’s solution enables Service Best International to process and dispatch orders more quickly and to further expand their business. What’s more, the solution is flexible enough to grow along with the company’s increasing range of goods. Thanks to the goods-to-person work stations, picking is more ergonomic, efficient and less prone to error, while an automatic dispatch sorting system boosts throughput.
Rene de Vries, Director of Operations at Service Best International emphasises that the customised solution made a strong impression: “The market’s needs and demands are becoming increasingly specific, requiring us to increase the efficiency of our logistics processes. To be equipped for the future, we have opted for a system with a high degree of automation. We have found a partner in KNAPP who secures the future of our logistics processes and enables us to grow.”
The warehouse grows with demand
Higher demand leads to more stringent requirements, which the automated warehouse system must meet. Therefore, all systems are designed to be easily expanded, from the OSR Shuttle and Pick-it-Easy work stations to the automatic stations for erecting, closing and lidding dispatch cartons.
