Model making specialist NOCH relies on YLOG-Shuttles from the KNAPP Group

Model making specialist NOCH selected a shuttle system from YLOG Industry Solutions. The new automation solution supports NOCH in realizing their e-commerce business strategy in their warehouse in Wangen, Germany.

“The YLOG-Shuttle is an important part of our strategy for the future. Over 25 percent of the turnover in our sector is made online. With this solution we will be able to successfully take on these challenges and to supply our dealers and customers even faster and more reliably,” stated Dr. Rainer Noch, Managing Director of NOCH GmbH & Co. KG.

The solution includes a YLOG-Shuttle system, controlled through the KiSoft YIS software. The shuttle system makes it possible to store articles in 12,600 locations in a small space. The system can be realized on just 250 square metres with a height of 18 metres thanks to the rotating wheels of the YLOG-Shuttle and flexibility these permit with respect to the rack system.

The standard system is equipped with more than eight YLOG-Shuttles. More performance can be achieved when needed for company growth by simply adding more YLOG-Shuttles. The scalability of the system was a decisive factor for NOCH to select YLOG Industry Solutions.

The system go-live is planned for the first quarter of 2015.
