KNAPP Expands Facilities for Promoting Employee Health

The Styrian technology company KNAPP has once again demonstrated their commitment to their employees’ health and well-being by opening the new KNAPPvital & Medical Services Center at their headquarters in Hart bei Graz on September 11. The health center is an expansion of the existing KNAPPvital program and demonstrates KNAPP’s dedication to promoting the health of the approximately 3,000 employees who work at their headquarters.

KNAPP’s longstanding, TRIGOS Award-winning healthcare program, KNAPPvital, offers a number of different services to promote employees’ physical, mental and emotional well-being. The new KNAPPvital & Medical Services Center provides a larger space where employees can make use of physiotherapy, coaching, nutrition counseling and an extensive exercise and relaxation program, which includes health and fitness courses ranging from yoga and spine care to intense full-body workouts and relaxation techniques. All this contributes to making the work environment even more appealing for employees. The company doctors also provide consultation on occupational health and conduct physicals to ensure that KNAPP employees are fit to work on installation sites. Seasonal and country-specific vaccinations, as well as health checks, are also on offer.

Red Cross award for outstanding commitment

Promoting employees’ health is an important sign of appreciation and therefore an important part of KNAPP’s corporate culture. Happy, satisfied employees form the basis for the company’s success. “Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and can perform at their best. We are convinced that a healthy team is the foundation for our shared success,” explains Katrin Pucher. The health center demonstrates KNAPP’s commitment to being a responsible employer who prioritizes the health of their employees. By the same token, the company is also well aware of the responsibility they hold toward society as a whole. For several years, KNAPP has collaborated closely with the Red Cross to organize multiple blood drives at different KNAPP sites to help ensure that patients receive life-saving blood donations when they need them. As of today, 460 units of whole blood have been donated. At the opening of the health center, the Styrian Red Cross presented KNAPP with their inaugural Blood Donation Award in recognition of KNAPP’s outstanding commitment. “KNAPP’s commitment and their employees’ readiness to donate blood really impressed our team. They’ve all made an important contribution to saving lives,” says Christian Steinscherer, Head of Blood Donation Services at the Styrian Red Cross.
