With more than 20 years of experience, OptumRx is one of the largest Pharmacy Benefit Managers in the United States, processing over 370 million drug prescriptions annually. Due to current and future growth plans at the Carlsbad, CA location, OptumRx contracted with KNAPP to replace 175 competitive counters and install 200 of the latest version of KNAPP automated tablet dispensers – ATD-L1P.
This project allows OptumRx to increase their capacity over 100% and fill over 1,500 prescriptions hourly. OptumRx also has a completely integrated, turn-key pharmacy in Overland Park, KS furnished by KNAPP comprising of the following equipment: 500 ATDs, A-frame for unit of use picking and conveyors.
